Purlin Bearing Rib (PBR) Panels
The PBR (Purlin Bearing Rib) Panel is the most widely specified profile in our metal roofing panels lineup. Its trapezoidal rib design provides superior structural rigidity and reliable water shedding across long roof runs, making it the go-to choice for commercial and industrial roofing applications.
PBR Panels feature a 38-1/4" overall width with 36" of usable coverage in 26-gauge steel. The 1-1/4" rib height and 12" rib spacing create a strong, consistent profile that seats securely on purlins and withstands high wind loads. Custom lengths are available up to 35 feet, allowing you to cover greater spans with fewer seams and reduced potential for leaks.
Every painted PBR Panel is manufactured using Galvanized or Galvalume sheet metal with a factory-applied finish eligible for up to a 40-year warranty. Panels are also offered in a secondary, non-warranty option for budget-conscious projects. PBR Panels pair directly with our full range of metal building components, including ridge caps, eave trim, and closure strips, for a complete roofing assembly.

Max Rib Wall Panels
For projects where a lighter-gauge, cost-effective panel still needs to deliver reliable performance, Max-Rib Panels are an ideal fit. This profile is a popular choice for agricultural buildings, carports, storage facilities, and residential metal roofing where economy and strength need to work together.
Max-Rib Panels provide 36" of coverage width in 29-gauge steel with a 3/4" rib height and 9" rib spacing. The lower profile and narrower rib pattern give Max-Rib Panels a clean, uniform appearance on both roofing and siding applications. Custom lengths are available up to 30 feet, giving you flexibility to order panels sized to your structure and reduce on-site waste.
Like our PBR Panels, every painted Max-Rib Panel is produced on Galvanized or Galvalume sheet metal with a factory-applied paint finish that carries up to a 40-year warranty. Secondary, non-warranty panels are also available. Ask your sales representative about current inventory and lead times.

Polycarbonate Roof Panels & Skylights
Not every section of a metal roof needs to block out sunlight. Polycarbonate roof panels let you introduce natural daylight into your building without compromising weather protection or structural integrity. These translucent panels are profile-matched to our PBR Panels, so they drop right into your existing roof layout with no additional framing or modifications.
Polycarbonate skylights from Triple-S Steel® offer high resistance to the harmful effects of weather, built-in UV protection, and strong hail impact resistance. Each panel measures 12 feet in length with a 38-1/4" width and 36" of usable coverage, matching the dimensions of our standard PBR roofing panels for a seamless fit.
Available in White, Soft White, and Clear options, polycarbonate skylights allow you to control the amount and quality of light entering your building. Clear panels maximize daylight transmission, while White and Soft White options diffuse light to reduce glare and heat gain.
Important installation note: The manufacturer recommends pre-drilling oversized holes in polycarbonate panels and using special fasteners with oversized washers. This allows for the natural expansion and contraction of polycarbonate material with temperature changes. Refer to our fasteners section for compatible hardware.

All painted metal roofing panels from Triple-S Steel® are available in our Premium Coil Coatings color chart, which includes 18 standard colors backed by a 40-year warranty. Options range from Polar White and Light Stone to Rustic Red, Charcoal, Emerald Green, and more. Galvalume and Galvanized finishes carry a 20-year warranty. Colors printed in marketing materials may vary from actual material, so contact your local branch to confirm availability and request samples.
